This is one of my dearest friends, and roommate of two years.  This friend was arrested and taken to jail today for silently protesting on the steps of Richmond’s capitol building.  She was among a group protesting new abortion legislature, including a bill requiring women to get an ultrasound before receiving an abortion, which was only very recently amended to remove a “mandatory” invasive procedure.  My thoughts are with her tonight.  And with everyone who has ever been arrested for peaceful protest, or marginalized and/or abused by members of the police force.

This is great, but another good reason is because IT’S THEIR BODY, NOT YOUR’S.Not everyone has to shave, not everyone has to be hairy. It’s a choice, YES, I understand that not everyone realises it’s a choice, which makes us non-shavers “weird” or any other ignorant thing someone has to say about it because it is not the “norm” to be hairy and not be male. By not letting them do what they want with their bodies, you’re doing the same thing society has done to you.
