After last week’s article—”Why Feminism Is the Anti-Viagra”—likened feminism to actual boner-killing, we’ve noticed that Psychology Today has been particularly hard on the women’s movement over the past few years, blaming it for everything from unhappiness to sexual harassment to just plain evilness. Here, we collect some of its greatest hits of He-Man Woman Haters posts.

1.) Why modern feminism is illogical, unnecessary, and evil by Satoshi Kanazawa

Modern feminism is evil because it ultimately makes women (and men) unhappy. In a forthcoming article in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania show that American women over the last 35 years have steadily become less and less happy, as they have made more and more money relative to men. Women used to be a lot happier than men despite the fact that they made much less money than men.

2.) Don’t Take Your Daughter To Work by Walter E. Block

For one thing, why is it that there are so many mothers who have abandoned their children, many at very tender ages? If poverty has engendered this decision, well and good. But all too often this stems either from feminist ideology…Who should have preference in this regard, given that for some reason this must be done, males or females? Members of the feminist cult will froth at the mouth that such a question should even be raised (that’s no news; they have this emotional reaction to anything or anyone disagreeing with their party line) but they themselves started this by organizing a day at the office or factory for only one gender.

Feminists unquestioningly assume that, if there are no legal and social obstacles to women’s achievement, women on the whole would want to pursue the same careers to the same degree as men do…modern feminism ultimately hurts women.

This new sexism, reverse sexism, is widespread in feminist and pro-feminist literature - or propaganda, one might say, - but largely ignored. One does not criticize feminism! But a fair number of feminists have criticized men in sexist terms…Alice Walker’s “The Color Purple” won the Pulitzer and is totally misandric, as are the best-sellers by Terry MacMillan. The movies were also were also very popular among women. Misandry sells. Why these black women should demonize black men, compounding sexism and racism, I don’t know. It just reinforces racism.

Prostitution is evolutionarily familiar, because mating is evolutionarily familiar and prostitutes (at least the classy ones) are no different from other women, whom men also have to pay – not in cash payments but in dinners and movies, gifts, flowers, chocolates, and motor oil – if they wanted to impress them enough to have sex with them.

6.) Men sexually harass women because they are not sexist by Satoshi Kanazawa (with the tagline “Sometimes “no” means “try a little harder…”)

Abuse, intimidation, and degradation are all part of men’s unfortunate repertoire of tactics employed in competitive situations. In other words, men are not harassing women in this fashion because they are treating women differently from men (which is the definition of discrimination under which sexual harassment legally falls), but the exact opposite. Men harass women precisely because they are not discriminating between men and women. Men harass women because they are not sexist.

Consider what has happened since women were first freed by the legal system. All of the pillars supporting the moderation of our drives, our sexual impulses, have been systematically stripped away by our prevailing culture. First, God and religion were abandoned as unnecessarily restrictive. Then the frightening consequences of the sex act were mitigated (first by Penicillin and then by the pill.) Then, the Women’s lib movement, in the hypomanic flush of their first bloom, realized that once free, women could be freed from all restraints. Why shouldn’t a woman be free to have any and all the sex she wanted? As with all revolutions, this went too far.

Forget what feminists, hippies, and liberals have told you in the last half century. They are all lies based on political ideology and conviction, not on science.

everything/everyone lately keeps questioning why i declared psychology as my major. im not really sure myself. but maybe to challenge things like this from within the field.
